Prof. Dr. Frank Walter and Prof. Dr. Reiner Creutzburg from SRH Berlin University of Applied Science, Germany Visited our institute as a special guest on 3rd September 2023.

Purpose of Visit

The primary purpose of the visit was to promote academic and research collaboration between our institute and esteemed institutions in Germany. The professor’s visit aimed to:

A visit of Professors from SRH Berlin, Germany held on Dt: 3rd Sept,2023

Dr. Frank Wolter, along with Dr. Reiner Creutzburg, recently conducted a seminar at our institution focusing on the significance of cybersecurity in the contemporary world.

 

Dr. Wolter elaborated on why cybersecurity is crucial in today’s digital landscape, emphasizing its role in safeguarding sensitive information and preventing cyber threats. He provided insightful examples and case studies, highlighting the potential consequences of cyber-attacks and the importance of proactive measures.

 

Furthermore, Dr. Wolter extended an invitation to our students to consider studying at SRH University in Germany, emphasizing the institution’s renowned cybersecurity program and the opportunities it offers for academic and professional growth. He shared valuable information about the curriculum, faculty expertise, and industry partnerships, encouraging students to explore international education opportunities.

 

Dr. Reiner Creutzburg, an esteemed expert in cybersecurity, complemented the seminar by delving into practical strategies for protecting systems in the real world. Drawing from his extensive experience, Dr. Creutzburg provided valuable insights into cybersecurity best practices, risk assessment methodologies, and emerging threats. Onam Celebration, 29th August, 2023

Onam, a prominent festival celebrated in the Indian state of Kerela, holds immense cultural and social significance. It marks the harvest season and is celebrated with enthusiasm and zeal.

At our institute, students from South India organized a vibrant Onam celebration to uphold their cultural traditions and share the joy of this festival with the entire campus community.

 

 Program Highlights

  1. Pookkalam (Flower Rangoli): The campus was adorned with beautiful Pookkalam, intricate flower Rangoli designs, created by students, showcasing their artistic skills.
  2. Traditional Attire: Students and faculty embraced the occasion by wearing traditional Kerala attire, including elegant white sarees for women and Mundus for men.
  3. Cultural Performances: Students presented captivating cultural performances, including classical dances, traditional folk dances, and melodious songs.
  4. Games and Competitions: Fun-filled games and competitions, such as tug of war, boat races, etc added excitement to the celebration.

Report on Orientation Programme Held on 21st August,2023

Narnarayan Shastri Institute of Technology (NSIT) has started its first batch with four courses and so the orientation programme named as ‘Deeksharambh’ was held on 21st August 2023 at 11am in the seminar hall of NSIT. The students came with their parents and the programme was graced with the presence of Vice President   – Prof. Dharmesh Vandra, Principal – Prof. (Dr.) Nikunj Brahmbhatt and Campus Director – Prof. Sanjay Sharma. The programme was anchored by Dr. Hiral Sanghavi, course coordinator of B.Sc.- M.Sc. Forensic Science. The programme initiated with Saraswati Vandana prayer. Dr. Hiral ma’am briefed about the history of Narnarayan Shastri Institute of Technology (NSIT), its mission and its importance with respect to the affiliation with esteemed National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) – Ministry of Home affairs, Govt. of India. The vision of NSIT and its importance was narrated by Dr. Geeta Gupta, course coordinator of M.Sc. Forensic Science. She also briefed and oriented about the various courses under the Institute of Forensic Sciences & Cyber Security of NSIT to the students and parents.

 

She welcomed the Vice President sir Prof. Dharmesh Vandra. Prof. Dharmesh sir introduced the students and the parents to the spiritual legacy of the institute, the aim and the scope of NSIT and its perspective programmes. Followed by him,   the Principal – Prof. (Dr.) Nikunj Brahmbhatt was welcomed to address. Dr. Nikunj sir shared the importance of studying forensic courses and how it can be implied on to the Criminal Justice System to give justice. The Campus Director Prof. Sanjay Sharma sir oriented about the infrastructure and various facilities like different laboratories, canteen, hostel facilities, health care facilities that are available in the campus for students. Then Dr. Parvesh Sharma, course coordinator of M.Sc. Cyber Security was invited to brief about the other facilities such as student loan facilities, internships & placements and local transportation along with different routes to approach airport and the nearby railway station.

 

Dr. Parvesh sir has also mentioned about the academic calendar, exam methodology and other extracurricular activities. He also has enlightened with the ‘Past, Present and Future of Forensic Science’. To relate with this, a video clip of Parliament address by Minister of Home Affairs, Hon’ble Shri Amit Shah, regarding ‘The Future Scope of Forensics’ which gave an enthusiastic response by the audience. The faculties of Institute of Forensic Sciences & Cyber Security were also introduced to the parents and students during the orientation program. At the end of the programme, as a kind gesture, we felicitated Ms. Sanskriti Saini, who was the first student to join the NSIT family. A short Q&A session was also done to clear the doubts of the students and parents.

 

The orientation programme concluded with the National Anthem after which the students and the parents were taken for campus tour by Mr. Aaromal Venugopal, Assistant Professor (TRA). The students dispersed with their parents after the lunch that was arranged by the NSIT.
