Faculty Profile: Grishma Pithiya is a dedicated and accomplished Assistant Professor (TA) with expertise in General Forensics, Crime Scene Management, and Forensic Anthropology. She is Pursuing her Ph.D. in Forensic Anthropology from Gujarat University, where her research focused on Community-based forensic anthropological studies, particularly focusing on gender determination and stature estimation. She also holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Forensic Science from Saurashtra University and Gujarat University.

Grishma’s academic journey is complemented by her practical experience as a lecturer at the Gujarat Police Academy, Karai, Gandhinagar, where she provided specialized training in forensic science to law enforcement personnel. Her expertise includes hands-on crime scene management, forensic investigation techniques, and the application of advanced forensic methods.

As part of her research portfolio, Grishma is involved in the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD)’s Virtual Lab initiative, contributing to the development of fingerprint analysis modules. This project aims to provide interactive virtual tools for students and professionals, enhancing the accessibility and understanding of forensic techniques through digital platforms.

Her research interests lie in Forensic Anthropology and Forensic Physical Sciences, reflecting her commitment to advancing knowledge in these fields. In addition to her teaching and research contributions, Grishma has published three research papers, two of which are in Scopus-indexed journals, and she has co-authored a book chapter.

In her teaching role, she emphasizes critical thinking, practical application of forensic techniques, and ethical responsibility. Her dynamic approach ensures that students gain not only academic knowledge but also the skills necessary for real-world forensic investigations.
